Colorado Fog Light Buying Guide (2018–2026)

Two bumpers, two fog lights

Colorado fog lamps mount in the front bumper, and the 2023 redesign changed the bumper completely. Result: two distinct fog light fitments — 2018–2022 (2nd gen) and 2023–2026 (3rd gen) — that do not interchange. Match the generation first.

Year Range Generation Fog Light Notes
2018–2022 2nd gen Bumper-mounted halogen where equipped; many WT trucks have blank panels
2023–2026 3rd gen (all-new) Redesigned bumper; LED fog lamps on equipped trims

No factory fogs? Get the kit

Base WT Colorados commonly shipped with blank filler panels instead of fog lights. Lamps alone will not mount — you need the complete kit with bezels, wiring harness, and switch. Trucks that already have factory fogs just need a direct replacement pair.

The ZR2 and overland angle

The Colorado — especially the ZR2 — is one of Canada’s most popular overlanding platforms, and its owners buy more auxiliary lighting than almost any other midsize truck crowd. Keep the categories straight: fog lights are the street-legal, bumper-mounted, SAE-compliant lamps on this page. Bumper pods, A-pillar ditch lights, and light bars are off-road auxiliary lighting — great on the trail, not legal as fog lights on the road. If your Colorado is a daily driver that also sees dirt, run compliant fogs in the bumper and put the pods on a separate circuit.

Halogen vs. LED

2nd-gen factory fogs were halogen on equipped trims; 3rd-gen trucks moved to LED. LED replacements are brighter with lower current draw — the standard upgrade path. For real fog, rain, and snow performance, insist on a true fog beam pattern (wide, low, SAE-compliant), not a repurposed spot beam.

Frequently Asked Questions

My WT has blank panels, no fog lights. What do I need?

A complete kit: lamps, bezels, wiring harness, and switch. The lamps alone cannot mount where the truck has no fog light provisions.

Will 2021 Colorado fog lights fit my 2024?

No. The 2023 redesign changed the front bumper, so 2018–2022 and 2023–2026 fog lights are not interchangeable.

I have a ZR2 and want more light for off-roading. Are these it?

These are street-legal fog lights for the factory bumper location. For serious trail lighting, add bumper pods, ditch lights, or a light bar on a separate auxiliary circuit — and keep the SAE fogs for the road.

Are LED fog light upgrades street legal?

Complete LED fog lamp assemblies that are SAE/DOT compliant are street legal. Off-road pods and light bars generally are not — check your provincial regulations.

How fast is shipping within Canada?

Orders ship from within Canada with tracked delivery, and every fog light is covered by our 30-day return policy.
